CL Police reinforce minimum health standards via ‘infodemic drive’

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Police Regional Office 3 conducted this week its “infodemic drive” in Aurora, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija and Olongapo City.

“Coronavirus Awareness Response and Empowerment (CARE) Infodemic Drive is composed of a series of socio-civic activities which aims to attain maximum information dissemination in the fight against COVID-19 through conveyance of its origin, symptoms, complications, mode of transmission, prevention and help dispel misinformation,” Regional Community Affairs Development Division Acting Chief PLtCol. Romell Velasco explained.

The program was designed to instill Department of Health protocols and other necessary information on COVID-19 to the different police stations in the mentioned provinces and highly urbanized city. In turn, they will conduct similar activities to barangays within their jurisdiction.

“We saw the need to address the concern of preventing COVID-19 by reaching out to the community and ensuring that they get the most reliable, timely and accurate information they need to face the current global health crisis,” Police Regional Director PBGen. Valeriano De Leon said.
