CLTV36 Sine Gitnang Luzon Originals (SIGLO) culminates with the awarding of the best local filmmakers of Central Luzon on November 29, 2017, 4:00 PM at the LausGroup Event Centre, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
The short film competition, now on its 2nd year showcases and promotes the Metro Central Luzon experience, encouraging young filmmakers to explore their unique ideas and perspectives and bring their stories to life through the creative world of film making.
Young indie filmmakers and film students from all over Central Luzon submitted entries to CLTV36 which were then judged by acclaimed indie film insiders including AwardWinning Director Ms. Moira Lang (Norte Hangganan ng Kasaysayan, Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros, In My Life, Anak); Multi-Awarded Actor Mr. Allen Dizon (Best Actor at 4th Silk Road Film Festival in Dublin, Ireland, for the film Iadya Mo Kami (2015), Best New Wave Actor at the 2015 Metro Manila FilmFest, Best Actor at the FAMAS Award); and last year’s winner of CLTV36 Sine Gitnang Luzon Originals (SiGLO) 1 Best Film for the Central Luzon Category Mr. Ferdinand “Bor” Ocampo (Dayang Asu, Digpa Ning Alti and Ing
Guinu Mu, EJK).
A total of 16 finalists were selected vying for the Best Film, Second Best Film, Third Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Cinematography, Best Musical Score, Best Film Editing, Best Production Design and Viewers Choice Awards. All the finalists will receive a CLTV36 SiGLO Certificate of Appreciation; Viewer’s Choice Awards will get two (2)
roundtrip plane tickets, while The Three Best Films will receive cash prizes, roundtrip plane tickets to international and local destinations and film scholarships.
