COMELEC: “Exercise your right to vote”

CAMP TOLENTINO – The Commission on Elections is encouraging the 689,083 voters of Bataan to practice their right to vote.

This figure was presented Friday by Provincial Election Supervisor Atty. Gilbert Almario during the media briefing at this Camp organized by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA-Bataan) led by its chief, Jose Mari Garcia.

The said voting population is the total number of registered voters for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections who can troop to the respective 3,522 polling precincts on May 14 this year.

Meanwhile, a total of 714 police, soldiers and volunteers will be deployed to secure the upcoming elections.

“We are looking forward to a peaceful May 14 poll as no election watch list areas nor election areas of concern are marked in Bataan,” PNP Bataan chief, Police Senior Supt. Marcelo Dayag told the media.

Metro Bataan Development Authority (MBDA) general manager Charlie Pizarro Jr. urged the public to be vigilant in helping the authorities maintain the prevailing peace and order situation in the province.
