Competition of 30 foreign triathletes, featured in Alveo 5150 in Subic

SUBIC BAY—Thirty foreign triathletes are scheduled to compete in the Alveo 5150 held here in the so-called triathlon capital of the Philippines on Sunday, October 23.

Athletes from Singapore, South Korea and the United States will lead the preparations for the Olympic-style endurance race that will be held in the Central Business District of Subic Bay.

These include so-called big guns in the race Liam Chan of Singapore, Korean Hyunji Ko and Byron Sanborn of the United States who will compete in the 1.5km swim, 40km bike, 10km run event, with local bets competing for third ‘t last 5150 race to be held this year.

They will join other foreign participants from France, South Africa, Slovenia, United Kingdom, Brazil, Canada, Netherlands, Switzerland, Finland, Turkey, New Zealand, Japan, Ireland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Australia.

The center of battle for the general championship in other age-groups are triathlon clubs in the country including Trimac, Trimaya, Baguio Benguet Tri, Polo Tri Team, Without Limits, SN Tri Team Southplus Tri, Wyn Racing, Team Triumph, Fit PH, East PH Triathlon Team, TSMC, Team Armada;

It also includes SBMA, Paynet-Amigo Tri, Encore Multisport, TriClark Scania, SN Athletics, Re/Max Capital, Fit Bahrain, Cruz Control Multisport, Sante Barley, Alveo Ayala Land Tri, Alco Cars Tri-Team, Tri-Natin, Trifast and Furious, Globe Tri Team, 94 Cycle, Pangasinan Multiport, The Next Step Tri and Omega Triathlon Team.

Before this, the IronKids triathlon for young triathletes will start on Saturday, October 22 in the swim-bike-run race with different distances.
