CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The City of San Fernando Police Station inaugurated yesterday its new police station building worth P13 million at the Diosdado P. Macapagal Government Center, Barangay Maimpis, here.
Gov. Lilia Pineda graced the event as the guest speaker, together with City of San Fernando Mayor Edwin Santiago, Vice Mayor Jimmy Lazatin, Councilor BJ “Tiger Lagman, Pampanga police director Sr. Supt. Joel Consulta, Police Regional Office-3 (PRO3) deputy director for Administration Supt. Elmer Bantug, and National Police Commision-3 Regional Director Rodolfo Grande Santos, Jr.
City of San Fernando Police chief Supt. Jean Fajardo thanked the governor for helping them materialize their dream of having their own station.
“This lot was initially intended for the PRO3 but it was too small for the said office, that is why former regional police chief Rudy Lacadin asked Governor Pineda to allocate the lot as the site for the City of San Fernando Police Station,” she said.
She also vowed to better their services to pay back the generosity of the governor for giving them the two-storey building funded by Philippine National Police (PNP).
“This will inspire the employees and staff of PNP-San Fernando because we already have a station more conducive for work and more comfortable for PNP personnel to work daily. I would like to assure everyone that by giving us this new station, we are committed to give you a better, capable and effective police force for the whole province of Pampanga,” Fajardo told the attendees in a ceremony.
Mayor Santiago also lauded the governor for her efforts in improving the facilities and infrastructure in local government and police offices in the province.
He likewise expressed his support to the goals of the governor. –PHILIP OCAMPO/PIO • Photos by JUN JASO/PIO PAMPANGA
