DAR Tarlac recognizes role of women in rural dev’t, industrialization

SAN JOSE, Tarlac — About 150 women Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) were recognized by Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) for their role in rural development and industrialization.

“We give recognition to the contribution of Filipino women in our society especially the ARBs in the countryside,” DAR Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Ileona Pangilinan said. 

Carrying the theme “Ako ay Responsableng Babae: Katuwang sa Kaunlaran sa Kanayunan,” DAR highlights and strengthens significant roles of women ARBs in community development.

“The sacrifices of our women in their families and in the community is immeasurable and through this simple celebration with various activities we give thanks and tribute to them for being the image of progress,” she added.

The event featured a discussion on First aid to empower women ARBs on how to respond with emergency situations and become aiders in their respective communities.

Others activities include Funwalk, Kakanin Festival, Zumba Craze, Bingo Bonanza, Slogan Contest, and Parlor Games.
