PASIG CITY – The Department of Education (DepEd), in coordination with the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC), is announcing the re-opening of its Senior High School (SHS) Voucher Program application from May 1 to 15, 2017.
The re-opening of the application aims to give chance to those who were not able to catch the deadline in January (manual) and February (online) 2017 and to accommodate more Grade 10 completers for the coming school year.
This is also to provide the Grade 10 completers the option to enroll in private schools, colleges and universities, including technical and vocational schools offering SHS program.
All applications must be done online by accessing the PEAC’s Online Voucher Application Portal (OVAP) at http://ovap.deped.gov.ph. Moreover, any concerns on ESC and SHS Voucher program can be directed to [email protected].
The results of the application will be announced on May 31, 2017.
The SHS-VP is one of the initiatives of the government to make basic education accessible and affordable for Filipino learners nationwide.
As of December last year, DepEd registered a total of 607,208 Voucher Program (VPBs) or Grade 11 students enrolled in non-DepEd schools who are entitled to receive financial assistance through voucher subsidy.
