DepEd receives disaster reduction equipment from JICS

The Department of Education (DepEd) Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Service (DRRMS), headed by Director Ronilda Co, receives 198 units of disaster reduction equipment from the Japan International Cooperation Systems (JICS) on March 29, 2017 at the DepEd Central Office (CO) in Pasig City. The donated units include 18 VHF digital transceivers (base type), 22 VHF digital transceivers (handy type), 134 HF transceivers, and 24 generators, and will be used by the DepEd CO and its field offices in the eventuality of disasters and/or emergencies.
