DILG Provincial Director Belina Herman emphasized that the infrastructure will benefit fisherfolks, farmers, and residents.

“This initiative aims to address the persistent issues of flooding during the rainy season and excessive dust during dry months, which have been impacting the daily lives of the residents and hindering the movement of goods, thus creating challenges for local businesses,” she furthered.

For her part, Mayor Cynthia Linao- Estanislao expressed her gratitude for the agency’s support in securing the prestigious SGLG award, which led them to avail the SGLGIF.

She underscored that the FMR is a highly welcomed development, aligning with the municipality’s goal of becoming a prime tourist destination.
