BALANGA CITY — Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) inaugurated the newly constructed trading post at barangay Sto. Domingo in Orion, Bataan.
The project was funded under the agency’s Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Incentive Fund, which was awarded to the local government unit (LGU) after receiving the SGLG in 2022.
In her message, DILG Bataan Provincial Director Belina Herman emphasized the importance of passing the SGLG as it serves as tangible evidence of the LGU’s dedication to good governance and exceptional service for the welfare of the community.
Herman likewise encouraged the municipal government’s functionaries to work towards making Ambisyon 2040 a reality for the people of Orion.
“In Bataan, we cannot settle for anything less than an excellent public service,” she emphasized.
For his part, Mayor Antonio Raymundo Jr. underscored that the establishment of the new trading post will bring numerous benefits to his constituents and promote economic growth within the community.
He also expressed his gratitude to all the partner agencies involved, especially DILG, for their assistance in ensuring the success of the project. (CLJD/RPQ-PIA 3)
