Following Doctor Strange, Avengers: Endgame, WandaVision, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness is the fourth film in the Doctor Strange franchise. The film is the twenty-eighth installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the eleventh in Phase Four.
In the film directed by Sam Raimi, Benedict Cumberbatch portrays Stephen Strange/Doctor Strange, Elizabeth Olsen portrays Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Chiwetel Ejiofor portrays Karl Mordo/Baron Mordo, Benedict Wong portrays Wong, Xochitl Gomez portrays America Chavez, Michael Stuhlbarg portrays Nicodemus West, and Rachel McAdams portrays Christine Palmer.
Doctor Strange (Gomez) journeys into the cosmos to protect America Chavez (Gomez), a teen who has the ability to travel between universe, from Wanda Maximoff (Olsen).
