BALANGA CITY — Department of Health (DOH) lauded the province of Bataan for its outstanding health programs which has become a benchmark to other local government units.
“It very important that practices like what Bataan have should be shared because you have gone through a lot of things here in Bataan and now you are reaping the fruits of all your labor,” Health Assistant Secretary Maria Francia Laxamana said during the launching of the One Bataan Seal of Healthy Barangay.
She praised the leadership of Governor Albert Raymond Garcia for his vision of achieving a high life expectancy rate for all Bataeños.
“We are all delightful for the goal of the province which is to uphold health and suppress the illness that we all see everyday,” she furthered.
Among the province’s achievements on health include the Red Orchid Hall of Fame Award, Outstanding Province in the Region on Nutrition Program Implementation, Gamechanger Award for HIV Program Implementation, and Top Performing Province for Tuberculosis Prevention and Control.
