DOLE Tarlac launches ‘BRICK’ on Labor Laws Program

TARLAC CITY — Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) recently launched the ‘Building Responsible Investments by Circuiting Knowledge’ (BRICK) on Labor Laws in four municipalities of Tarlac.

“The BRICK on Labor Laws program seeks to encourage businesses in the municipalities of  Paniqui, Camiling, Capas and Victoria to voluntarily and proactively comply with labor standards and other related labor issuances,” DOLE Tarlac Officer-in-Charge Aurita Laxamana said.

An initiative of DOLE Tarlac, BRICK on Labor Laws was partnered after the agency’s Continuing Labor and Employment Education Program (CLEEP).

“While CLEEP focuses on DOLE’s intervention that promotes labor education, BRICK on Labor Laws provides an avenue for labor education while also strengthening the linkages with Local Chief Executives (LCEs) through their respective Public Employment Service Office. With the initiative of the LCEs visited, noncompliance with labor standards may have an effect on the subsequent renewal of annual business permits,” Laxamana added.
