DPWH completes construction of farm to market road in Concepcion

TARLAC CITY — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the 1.2-kilometer farm to market road in Concepcion, Tarlac.

The PhP14.8-million project now connects Barangay San Isidro and Sitio Kabayung Sarul.

“Residents, especially farmers, no longer have to endure unpaved and muddy roads especially during the rainy season with the completion of this concrete road project,” DPWH Secretary Mark Villar said.

Prior to the construction, residents have no choice but to walk every day or ride carabao-driven carriages as motorized vehicles can’t pass through.

Villar commended Tarlac Second District Engineering Office for the swift completion of the project which started last November 2020.

“With this two-lane concrete road, people and even motorized vehicles can now pass by and enjoy shorter travel time, greatly increasing their access to social services and faster transport of local products,” the cabinet official said.
