Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a multi-purpose building at barangay San Pedro in San Jose del Monte City.
The two-storey infrastructure was implemented by DPWH Bulacan 2nd District Engineering Office.
Punong Barangay Chiztopher Tiu said this will enable them to improve the delivery of social services to their constituents.
“A more pleasant and comfortable experience awaits residents availing barangay services with the completion of this new building. It will also serve as a venue for the efficient implementation of our programs,” Tiu said.
“Malaking kapakinabangan po sa aming barangay at sa mga residente ng aking nasasakupan ang pagkakatayo ng panibagong gusali na ito, magagamit namin ito ng mabuti upang tugunan ng mas mabilis at maayos ang lahat ng mga pangangailangan sa aming punong barangay,” the official added.
For his part, District Engineer George Santos said the newly constructed multipurpose facility will offer ample space for holding events, meetings, and other community gatherings.
“The multipurpose building is also equipped with a sizable parking space to accommodate barangay vehicles such as fire trucks and ambulances, rooms with complete air conditioning units, as well as plumbing and electrical installations,” Santos furthered.
The P9.7 million project was funded under the 2022 General Appropriations Act.
