DTI awarded Bagwis Seal for SM Supermarket Olongapo Central and ADD Garbes Servitek

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Zambales provincial director Enrique Tacbad handed over the Bagwis Seal for SM Supermarket Olongapo Central (gold) and ADD Garbes Servitek (silver) during a simple awards ceremony held at All Day Breakfast Café’ in Subic Bay Freeport.

Receiving the award in behalf of the companies are Donna Ivy Mallari, Asst. Store Manager; Gilbert Paasa, Selling Assistant and Angela Rivera, Customer Assistant for SM Supermarket Olongapo Central and Anthony Chris Rosete for ADD Garbes Servitek.

They were joined by Marilou C. Arcega, Division Chief, Business Development Division and May Ann A. Bermas, OIC Division Chief, Consumer Protection Division of DTI Zambales.

The DTI Bagwis Award aims to give due recognition to establishments that uphold the rights of consumers and practice responsible business where consumers indeed get value for money.

It has three levels, namely the Bronze, Silver and Gold. The Bronze Award is given to businesses that complied with the fair trade laws and has an established consumer welfare desk or an equivalent consumer relations office within their store.

The Silver Award is given to businesses who have already achieved the parameters of the Bronze Award and shown qualities in social responsibility.

The Gold Seal, on the other hand, is awarded to stores that achieved the requirements of the Silver Award in addition to an established quality orientation management.
