DPWH completes road in Tarlac City

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a 1.2-kilometer road in Tarlac City that connects barangays Sinait and Sta. Maria.

It was implemented by Tarlac 1st District Engineering Office.

District Engineer Neil Farala said the road project was implemented under DPWH’s Sustainable Infrastructure Projects Alleviation Gaps (SIPAG) program.

“It aims to provide better access for residents and improve inter-barangay connectivity in Tarlac City,” he added.

Residents lauded the DPWH project for improving rural road infrastructure that enables connectivity and safe mobility.

“Gumanda na po ang daan, di katulad ng dati na kapag umuulan ay maputik at mas madali na po sa amin ang magbiyahe (Our road is better now compared to before when it gets muddy after the rain. Our travel is much easier now),” Salaste Tonelada, a resident of barangay Sinait shared.

The P9.59 million infrastructure funded under the 2022 General Appropriations Act is one of the local projects implemented by DPWH in Tarlac that will help stimulate the local economy and in turn provide more business and employment opportunities. (CLJD-PIA 3)
