Dragonair’s CRK-HK route now six times weekly

FULL service carrier Dragonair will increase its Clark-Hong Kong frequency to six times weekly this December at the Clark International Airport (CRK).

In a meeting on Monday (Nov. 14) with Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) President Alexander Cauguiran, Dragonair Country Manager Rob Bradshaw said the carrier will increase its Clark-Hong Kong route to six times weekly next month.

“We are increasing our frequencies this December from four to six times weekly as we are expecting an increase in traffic at Clark airport, and we are very much excited on the developments (in relation to the CRK,)” Bradshaw said.

Bradshaw said the Dragonair Clark Airport Station was ranked number one in the whole Dragonair network in the world due to the increase in passenger traffic of the airline.

“We would like to thank CIAC for their support to Dragonair and we are very happy to inform you that Dragonair Clark Station is rank number one in the whole network of the airline,” Bradshaw told Cauguiran.

For his part, Cauguiran also assured Dragonair of CIAC’s continued support to the carrier’s operations.

Cauguiran told Bradshaw that President Rodrigo Duterte has already announced his administration’s programs in expanding and providing support infrastructure to the Clark airport, such as the construction of a railway system linking Clark to Manila and the program of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) to develop a new Second Passenger Terminal for Clark airport which is expected to take-off by the middle of next year.

Bradshaw also said that Dragonair hopes to establish a long term plan for Clark airport, including further increase of flight frequencies via CRK.

According to him, Dragonair will undertake a rebranding in the coming weeks. He said Dragonair will become Cathay Dragon, symbolizing an alignment of the values that we hold in both brands.”

“We hope this new brand will bolster demand especially for Clark airport,” he added.

Dragonair launched flights at Clark airport in November 2008. Dragonair is a subsidiary of the Hong Kong flag carrier Cathay Pacific and operates 44 destinations in 134 countries and territories across Asia. It has an Airbus Fleet of 41 aircraft consisting of A320’s, A321’s, A330’s and B747 (Cargo).
