DTI Tarlac trains 4Ps beneficiaries in San Jose

TARLAC CITY — Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) conducted a seminar for Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries at barangay Sula in San Jose, Tarlac.

About 19 4Ps beneficiaries joined the training on How to Start a Business and Skills Training on Bunog Fish Processing.

DTI OIC-Provincial Director Zaida Garibay shared that the activity aims to impart knowledge and guidance to the participants on starting their own businesses as well as to introduce new products and skills that they could use to generate income.

“Bunog is a freshwater fish that is abundant in San Jose.  This is an opportunity for a promising livelihood for the residents, and if managed properly, may create a name for the town,” she said.

Topics discussed include the importance of venturing into business, the basics of entrepreneurship, business opportunities, and the steps and requirements in registering a business.

Also, the process of making Gourmet Dried Bunog, Spanish Style Bunog, and fish balls and kikiam using Bunog Fish as the main ingredient.

DTI committed to assist the participants in starting up a business through the municipal Negosyo Center.
