Duterte leads groundbreaking ceremony of AFP/PNP Housing Project in Tarlac

CONCEPCION, Tarlac — President Rodrigo R. Duterte led Wednesday the groundbreaking ceremony of Casa San Miguel in barangay San Agustin.

It has 1,000 duplex type housing units for personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Philippine National Police (PNP).

National Housing Authority (NHA) General Manager Marcelino Escalada Jr. said the total project area is approximately 15.87 hectares.

“Each unit has a floor area of 60 square meters and each lot is 80 square meters,” he disclosed.

The total amount per unit is Php 950,000 with a monthly amortization of Php 5,700. The project will be completed by December 2019.

“Apart from housing units, NHA will also build community facilities such as multi-purpose covered court and school building with 15 classrooms,” Escalada added.

There are also similar housing projects for AFP and PNP personnel in Woods Towne in San Fernando City, La Union; Lantaw Homes in Tugbok, Davao City; Vista Alegre in Bacolod City; Loakan Heights in Baguio City; Christine Villas in Barangay Upper Hinaplanon, Iligan City; Ciudad de Dahican in Mati City; and Cabaluay Place in Zamboanga City.
