Duterte to visit Pampanga tomorrow

President Rodrigo Duterte will visit Pampanga province tomorrow (Dec 22) where most of the big shabu factories in the country were discovered following the government’s all-out war against illegal drugs.

Duterte is expected to meet some 15,000 community volunteers in Pampanga province from municipal and city government officials down to village chiefs and civilian volunteers.

The event dubbed “Convergence of Nanay Volunteers as Community Drugwatch” will allow the volunteers to have an overview of the PPO Reformation Program for drug surrenderees now being treated at the Bahay Pagbabago Reformation Center.

A lecture on Community Drugwatch and the DOH Referral System for Community Surrenderees will also be conducted during the program.

Former president and now Rep. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo (Pamp.-3rd Dist.) will introduce Duterte.
Some barangays in Central Luzon are still reportedly “infected” by the drug menace despite the all-out war against illegal drugs, according to the PNP.

At least six shabu laboratories had been discovered in Pampanga province – three in Angeles City, specifically in Timog, barangay Pampang; Villa Dolores, in Barangay Sto. Domingo; and Hensonville, in Barangay Malabanias; one in the City of San Fernando, one in Magalang town, where a hog farm-turned-shabu lab was unearthed; and one in Arayat town, the location of the mega shabu laboratory. A kitchen-type shabu facility was also discovered in Apalit town.
