ELCAC task forces in Bataan hold levelling session

About 351 government officials in Bataan attended the virtual Barangay Levelling Session on the Localization of Executive Order No.70 otherwise known as the whole-of-nation approach to end local communist armed conflict (ELCAC).

Attendees included members of the provincial, city, municipal and barangay ELCAC Task Forces.

In his message, Governor Albert Garcia urged barangay officials to continue participating in the province’s effort to fight insurgency as the whole-of-nation approach in attaining inclusive and sustainable peace needs the involvement and active participation of everyone from the President, down to the provinces, cities, municipalities, barangays, down to each individual.

“In turn, this will also free the people from poverty through programs and policies that provide adequate social services, promote full employment, a higher standard of living, and an improved quality of life for all,” he added.

“We all deserve to live in a society where there is peace and order in our lives. Where liberty, property, and general welfare are protected as these are essential blessings of democracy,” the official emphasized.

Topics discussed include the Communist Terrorist Groups’ Framework, Executive Order 70 and the 12 National Clusters Framework and the Joint Regional Task Force Undertakings, Concerns and Ways Forward. (CLJD/CASB-PIA 3)
