Feb 16, 2020, 7pm Steak Street, Ventura St Marisol, Angeles City will be celebrating an event for all Folksingers. The purpose of this mini concert is to help a friend who needs financial assistance a cancer survivor and Folksinger Roland Manguera, Cancer became active and unfortunately can’t sing anymore and singing is his primary job.
Mr. Valentino Aquino got the idea of raising funds when Prof. JPelayo, Music Psychologist, did it first to form a concert for a cause for his father with the help of Ms. Chey Eve. Val contacted folksingers in Angeles City and also posted on facebook who are willing to help our fellow folksinger.
Tres Hombres (Mon, Noy and Val) made a pledge to do this concert for a cause. Folksingers in mabalacat namely Coony Romero, heard the said concert, so they inform me that they would like to be a part in this crusade with Arnel Cabarle, Bong De Luna, Dong Flores and Jake Gutierres.
Joseph the band leader of (4th Republic), who happens to be my godson, said they truly like to help in this cause. His father Tito Muli also died of cancer. Light seekers (Rusty, Marie and Dennis) folksingers in Angeles City and also performed in 1219 folkhouse during the 70s well known for covering asin opm songs, Vernon ( guitarist of kapamu jazz band) also join us. Trisera, band leader Nico Alfaro, Jerry Lacsina and Vhaiz Castaneda del Rosario, our female vocalist will also join the event.
Other performers are Conrad and Fred well known soul band in Olongapo Joven Liwanag, a folksinger in manila might not make it to the concert to perform, so he pledge to help a friend in need. Andre Paras, Ronnie Naguit, RamirCruz Pastor Cris and Dusty Muli.
