Former NPA surrendered to Bulacan PNP

Camp General Alejo S Santos, City of Malolos — A former member of New People’s Army (NPA) and active member of KADAMAY voluntarily surrendered to Bulacan PNP in Sampaloc, San Rafael, Bulacan on, Monday, December 5, 2022.

Bulacan Police Provincial Office (BUL PPO) director Col Relly Arnedo identified the surrenderee as alias Ka Biboy, 35, a construction worker and former medic officer of the NPA operating in Nueva Ecija and Aurora, and presently an active member of KADAMAY.

LtCol Laurente Acquiot, Force Commander, 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), said that on December 5, 2022, at about 9:30 PM, joint elements of 1st and 2nd Bulacan PMFC, 24th SAC PNP SAF, and 70th IB Philippine Army, and BULACAN PECU, facilitated the surrender of Alias Ka Biboy and turned over one caliber 9mm pistol, one magazine and one hand grenade.

Arnedo added that the surrendered former NPA member is presently under the custody of Bulacan 2nd PMFC for investigation and custodial debriefing.

Bulacan Police is stern on its intensified campaign against insurgency and terrorism to ensure the provision of social services, employment opportunities, and improved quality of life in communities that have been experiencing or are vulnerable to armed communist conflict.
