Future Developments in CSF bared

Fernandinos can expect a more livable and progressive city as the local government presented various upcoming projects in San Fernando during the 1st Local Development Council meeting held Tuesday.

The city targets to build a Civic Center in Brgy. San Isidro which will house a Permanent Evacuation Center, Senior Citizen Center, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Command Center, Department of Education Personnel Training and Sports Complex, City Government Satellite Offices and a City Park.

In order to immediately respond to crimes, accidents and emergency cases in the city, a Command and Control Center is also set to be established. This will consist of a Video Management System, Computer Aided Dispatch system, cabling for voice facilities to collaborate with the different respondent agencies and LED boards to guide motorists on alternative routes in times of disasters, among others.

The heritage district and market plaza, which are located at the downtown or Poblacion area, will also be redeveloped to attract more tourists and spur economic growth.
