FOR the fourth consecutive year, Holy Angel University (HAU) emerged Overall Champion during the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants – Region III Council held at Villa Caceres Resort and Hotel in Naga City, Camarines Sur last Sept. 25 to 27.
The event was participated by more than 20 schools in Region III with this year’s theme, “Bringing the Luminance and Colors Back Home.
With the school’s 196-strong delegates which included Accountancy students and advisers, HAU-JPIA was able to clinch the championship title by bagging the most number of awards for both Academic and Non-Academic events.
Academic competitions such as individual quiz bee events for Management Accounting and Control, Taxation, Law, Basic Accounting and the team event for Taxation Case Study were all topped by HAU JPIAns. Mass dance, stand-up comedy, video spoof, and booth making contest were the non-academic competitions also claimed as overall by HAU students.
The annual event aims to facilitate the development of its members and attain the following goals: Academic Excellence, Leadership Promotion, Holistic Development, Unity, and Solidarity. Through these activities, JPIA members gain an opportunity to develop the value of sportsmanship by engaging themselves in different academic events and non-academic events, cultivating a wholesome competitive spirit by working closely together with other JPIANs from different schools in Central Luzon.
