House of David donates building to Lubao school

The House of David Foundation Inc. has recently donated a two-classroom building to the Sta. Cruz Central Elementary School in Lubao, Pampanga.

Teresa David-Carlos, chair of the House of David Foundation Inc., and president of Bank of Florida (BOF) Inc., the donation of the classroom building was part of House of David Group’s commitment to share resources for the benefit of the local community and to help promote better education .

David-Carlos added that the funds used for the construction of the building were proceeds from the expropriation deal with the government. Earlier, she said that a portion of House of David’s prime property was expropriated to pave way for the completion of the Balimbing Creek widening and flood control project.

The House of David continuously helps public schools as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program.

“The House of David Group will donate another two-classroom building to Sindalan Elementary School. The construction already started,” she added.

David-Carlos also said that the officers of the Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PAMCHAM), Department of Education representatives from both Division and Central Offices and the faculty community of SCCES attended the inauguration ceremonies recently.

SCCES officials include Senior Education Program Specialist Ruby Jimenez, Project Development Officer of the DepEd Central Office, Carol A. Labrague, Project Development Officer II Dove Cometa and SCCES Principal Enrique C. Manansala.

Among the attendees were House of David Realty and Development Corporation (HDRDC) Chairman Susan Jesusa David-Nunga, Director Yolanda David-Aguila, House of David Group’s (HDG) Chief Financial Officer Jose Paolo Carlos, Christine D. Carlos, PAMCHAM Vice Chairman Rene G. Romero and President Engr. Jess S. Nicdao. The event was also graced by the HDG Chairman Emeritus and patriarch of the House of David Family Ladislao “Papa Choy” Sibal David.

The blessing rites were led by Rev. Fr. Adrian Paule of the Holy Cross Parish Church in Lubao.
