International artists to perform in Lubao hot air balloon, music festival

International artists are set to take the stage during the upcoming Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival (LIBMF) this April at the Pradera Verde in Prado Siongco village.

Rambo Ortega, event organizer of the LIBMF, said international artists Alex Iono and Red Foo and the Party Rock Crew will grace the festival on its last day, April 9.

Alex Iono is a singer-songwriter from California, USA. His popularity started via the Internet, where his YouTube channel collected tens of millions of views before he reached the age of 20. His early mix of vlog entries gathered an audience, which proved him to be at ease on camera, and acoustic-guitar covers of the likes of Drake and Katy Perry. He also premiered original songs in the sphere of R&B-influenced teen pop, such as “Alphabet Song” and “Doesn’t Get Better,” both from 2013.

Meanwhile, Red Foo is the other half of the musical duo LMFAO, which is popularly known for their single, “Party Rock.”

Aside from international artists, event organizer Ortega said local bands and artists including Spongecola (April 6), Gloc 9 and Parokya ni Edgar (April 7) and DJ Ace Ramos, Yeng Constantino and Bamboo will also perform during the festival.

This year’s balloon and music festival is organized by the Lubao International Balloon Festival Inc., together with Forthinker Inc., in cooperation with the Arts, Culture and Tourism Office of Pampanga (ACTO) with support from the Provincial Government of Pampanga.
