Kapampangan skills showcased in CSF FAIR

Kapampangan’s artistic and entrepreneurial skills were showcased during the City of San Fernando’s FAIR (Food, Art, Industry, Recreation) held at the train station from February 3 to 5.

The three-day event was filled with various activities such as the trade fair which featured locally made products of some 30 exhibitors who are part of the ‘One Barangay One Product’ program of the local government.

Meanwhile, artworks and masterpieces of 13 renowned artists in the province were put up on sale at a reasonable price.

As for the preservation of culture, the city also offered free Kalesa tours and visit at the historic train station.

Hundreds of young aspirants benefited in the free workshops on sketching, painting and kite-making.

Tourists and fairgoers were entertained with SineCabalen films aired in afternoons and the nightly musical show.

In his speech, Mayor Edwin ‘EdSa’ Santiago said “this event is a testament of how talented and skilful Kapampangan people are.”

“We will continue to host similar programs as we strive to become the center for Kapampangan culture, heritage, culinary and arts,” he added.

The City FAIR highlights this year’s celebration of the 16th Cityhood Anniversary of San Fernando dubbed Kaganapan 2017.
