In celebration of World Polio Day, the Department of Health – Central Luzon together with the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial Health Office – Public Health teamed up and launched Kapitolyo for Life: 7 Healthy Habits last Saturday at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium.

The health and wellness campaign focused on seven core habits that will lead Bulakenyos to a healthier and happier life including Move More, Eat Right; Be Clean, Live Sustainably; Get Vaccinated; Don’t Smoke, Lessen Alcohol, Say No to Drugs; Care for Yourself, Care for Others; Practice Safe Sex; and Do No Harm, Put Safety First.

It featured activities that will promote healthy living lifestyle such as Libreng Gupit and Libreng Masahe, and Zumba Marathon that was participated by City and Municipal Health Staff, Barangay Health Workers, Rotary Club District 3770, PNP Bulacan and PGB Employees.

Meanwhile, Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro advised the Bulakenyos to always put their health on top of their priority list.

The event was attended also by the Governor’s Office Chief of Staff Atty. Nikki Manuel S. Coronel, Provincial Health Officer I Edwin P. Tecson, DOH Health Education and Promotion Officer III Theresa Marie Bondoc and Rotary International District 3770 Governor Rodolfo DC. Enriquez.
