Lazatin begins distributing financial, medical aid to seniors

ANGELES CITY – Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. will provide medical and financial aid to senior citizens aged 90 to 99 years old in 33 barangays around the city.

Some 356 senior citizens are to receive cash worth P2,000 each, and a free medical check up. Free medicines will also be provided for the beneficiaries.

Mayor Lazatin began his house-to-house visit of senior citizens last January 26, 2020. With Lazatin were personnel from the City Health Office (CHO), Gender and Development (GAD) Office, City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), and City Information Office (CIO).

Upon the start of the house-to-house visits, Lazatin had already visited and provided assistance to seniors from Barangays Claro M. Recto, Pampang, Amsic, San Nicolas, Lourdes North West, Lourdes Sur, Agapito Del Rosario, and Lourdes Sur East.
Lazatin stressed that he will go to every senior’s house assuring they will receive assistance from the city government.

This follows Lazatin’s P10M budget for the social pension of the elderly and of the Persons with Disabilities, and P3M for solo parents.
