Lovers fall in Bulacan anti-drug sting

CITY OF SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, Bulacan – A drug pushing live-in partners known in the dope underworld as “Lovely Joy” and “Noche” were busted by police anti-narcotics operatives in Bgy. Sta. Cruz here Monday night.

In a report to Bulacan acting police director Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr., city police chief Supt. Fitz Macariola identified the arrested suspect as Charisma Icang alis “Lovely Joy” and Juhne Ronnie Esteban alias “Noche”, both residents of said village.

Macariola said the drug pushing duo were arrested after selling a plastic sache containg the mind altering drug known as methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu to a police undercover agent.

The duo did not resist arrest, Macariola added.

The duo are listed among the notorious street pushers in San Jose del Monte and whose underworld exploits can be compared to the infamous “Bonie and Clyde” characters in the American underworld.

Six more plastic sachetsof shabu with an estimated weight of two grams were recovered from the suspects.

Charges for drug pushing under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act will be filed against the suspects, Macariola said. —EMIL G. GAMOS
