Mabalacat City Mayor Geld Aquino visited the Central Pharmacy of the Mabalacat City local government unit in Xevera, Tabun to check if the facility has enough medicine supplies for Mabalaqueñans.
The city government said residents and patients only need to present a valid prescription, a certificate of indigency, and a valid ID to avail of free medicines from the Central Pharmacy.
The facility is open from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
The following medicines are currently available at the Central Pharmacy: acetylcysteine (100 mg, 600 mg), amoxicillin 500 mg, aspirin 80 mg, atenolol 50 mg, atorvastatin (20 mg, 40 mg), azithromycin 500 mg, betahistine (16 mg, 24 mg), insulin 70/30, calcium carbonate (with or without vitamin D3), carvedilol (6.25 mg, 25 mg), cefixime, cefuroxime, celecoxib, cetirizine syrup, clindamycin, clonidine, clopidogrel, co-amoxiclav, colchicine, digoxin, epoetin alfa, fenofibrate, finasteride, gliclazide, hyoscine, irbesartan, iron with folic acid, levofloxacin, levothyroxine, losartan (with or without hydrochlorothiazide), mefenamic acid, metformin, metoprolol, montelukast, multivitamins, paracetamol, potassium supplements, rosuvastatin, salbutamol, sambong, sodium bicarbonate, tamsulosin, telmisartan, tramadol, trimetazidine, and valsartan, among others.
City officials said the continued operation of the Central Pharmacy is part of the local government’s efforts to make basic health services more accessible, especially to indigent residents.
