Aqua Planet, the most modern and one of the biggest water park in Asia finally opened its doors to more than 2,500 water adventure seekers after its ribbon cutting and water ceremony in Saturday, February 24 in Clark, Pampanga.
BBI President Dr. Irineo ‘Bong’ Alvaro, Aqua Planet General Manager Rafael Suarez, Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation Chairman Andrea Domingo, Bases Conversion and Development Authority President Vince Dizon, Clark Development Corporation President Noel Manankil and Department of Tourism Region III Director Carolina Uy led the formal opening of the 10-hectare water park.
“Aqua Planet is one of the best water world that I have seen compared to other countries. Proud kami hindi lamang dahil sa isa sa mga requirements ng PAGCOR ang pagkakaroon ng theme park kung hindi dahil as a Kapampangan ay nandito ang first water park sa Angeles City,” Domingo said in her welcome speech.
Prior to its grand opening, Aeta children, persons with disability, orphans, religious groups, and families of Marawi soldiers were treated on a special tour as part of BBI Foundation community outreach program.
“Come and visit Aqua Planet and splurge on its endless water-mazing experience,” Alvaro said.
Aqua Planet houses 38 exhilarating water rides and can cater some 3,000 to 5,000 visitors. Entrance fee is P750 to P950 and is open from Monday to Sunday from 9a.m. to 5p.m.
