Two Nigerian nationals believed behind “Basag Kotse” or multiple car theft cases across Bataan had been arrested, according to the Bataan Provincial Police Office (PPO).
During the operation carried out on Friday, one Nigerian national was initially apprehended, while another managed to evade capture. However, the following morning, the escaped suspect was identified as Francis Caijioke, a 27-year-old resident of the City of San Fernando, Pampanga, was arrested at a PMFC checkpoint in Barangay Palihan, Hermosa, Bataan.
Upon his arrest, Caijioke was found in possession of incriminating evidence, including a black sling bag containing a Caliber .38 pistol, suspected shabu valued at 35,000 pesos, a Vivo cellular phone, and an ATM card.
The suspect, along with the seized evidence, was brought to the Hermosa PNP station for proper documentation and further investigation.
The successful apprehension of the suspects highlighted the effective coordination and rapid response of the Bataan Police in addressing criminal activities within the province. Authorities continue to urge vigilance among residents and cooperation in reporting suspicious individuals or activities to maintain peace and order in the community.
