A night of spectacular lights, sounds and arts at Las Casas FilIpinas de Acuzar

Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bagac, Bataan kicked off the Christmas season with a formal lighting ceremony held at the resort’s main plaza.

More than 300 guests from leading corporations, government community, media, online influencers and industry friends have joined and witnessed for the first time Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar’s art installation lighting ceremony last December 1.

The said art installation entitled “Home” was headed by Bellas Artes Foundation’s Project Manager, RJ Camacho. The resort highlighted local talented performing group such as Bataan Chamber Singers, Bataan Childrens Choir, Koro Bangkal and Jose de PiroKabataang Orchestra as part of the momentous event.

Director of Marketing Erwin Dona welcomed the guests with his opening remarks and the first Filipina to be crowned as Reina HispanoAmericana – Teresita “WynWyn” Marquez arrived to grace the night’s enthralling affair. Marquez also led the lighting not only the art installation but also the entire heritage community, emanating spectacle and art brilliance.

As the luminous lights were revealed, a ceremonial toast led by Bellas Artes Founder and Director Jam Acuzar was done to officially kick-off the Christmas mood at the Resort.

The night was a celebration in honor of the community of Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar’s in house artisans. RJ Camacho, the team leader of the Christmas art installation calls it “home”. He wanted to create a common Christmas space for everyone where they can walk, sit down, contemplate and relax. According to RJ it is his reflection of his experience when he see the stars in Bagac and bring it to the audience or guests of the resort. His reflection turned into an idea has been made into a huge art installation of “home”.

Present during the event were 2017 Reina HispanoAmericana – Teresita Marquez, 2017 Lakambini ng Las Casas – Bb. Diana Velasco, Bellas Artes art installation team leader – RJ Camacho, Bellas Artes Foundation Director and Founder – Jam Acuzar, Chairman of NSJBI/Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar – Jerry Acuzar, Chairperson of Bataan Peninsula Tourism Council Foundation- Victoria S. Garcia, Dinalupihan Mayor – Maria Angela Garcia, AFAB Chairman – Emmanuel Pineda, Bagac, Councilor Noel Dela Rosa and Bataan Tourism Officer-Architect Christina Banzon-Enriquez.

To complete the Christmas mood, guests were treated to cocktails of holiday food followed by a sumptuous dinner. The yuletide offerings of Las Casas starts from December 01 to 31 from 10am to 9pm at La Parilla. December 1 to 15, weekends at Del Rio and December 16 to 31 daily at Café del Rio. Noche Buena at Plaza Mayor de Tobias starts at P1,600 nett per person, dinner buffet. Hotel de Oriente’s Christmas lunch and dinner on December 25 is at P1,200 nett per person. Jose Mari Chan will have a concert on December 9, Saturday at Plaza Belmonte entitled: Ang MusikaNatin: Puso ng Pasko. He will once again warm our hearts with Christmas songs from the heart. There is also a weekend market bazaar where local sellers from Bataan will showcase their crafts and holiday gift items. To end the year with good cheers, Las Casas will have its December 31, countdown with a musical band to dance the night away and spectacular fireworks to welcome the new year. Dinner buffet at the beach area is at P1,600 nett per person from 6pm to 10pm.
