No COVID-19 case in Baguio for more than a week

Baguio City has no reported cases of COVID-19 since March 28, Mayor Benjamin Magalong said.

Seen as success in flattening the curve, officials cited cooperation of residents who stayed at home for three weeks. Contact tracing among suspected virus carriers was also implemented.

Magalong, a retired police general, also highlighted transparency as one of his unconventional approach in stemming the spread of the virus. He encouraged his constituents to be open about testing positive on coronavirus disease.
