SANTA ROSA, Nueva Ecija — The Provincial Government of Nueva Ecija provided additional paint assistance to public schools across the province as part of its continuing support for school facility maintenance.
The turnover ceremony was held on June 9, 2026 at the Antonio Umali Hall of the Department of Education (DepEd) Schools Division Office (SDO) of Nueva Ecija in Santa Rosa, where First Lady of Nueva Ecija Cherry Umali led the distribution of the paint supplies.
The further allocation follows the initial distribution conducted during Brigada Eskwela, providing more schools with materials to aid the improvement of their facilities for School Year 2026–2027.
In a statement, SDO Nueva Ecija highlighted other education-related programs of the provincial government benefiting public schools.
These include the establishment of e-Libraries, provision of Starlink satellite internet connectivity to 110 schools, funding support for educational activities, teacher development programs, learner-centered initiatives, and leadership training.
SDO Nueva Ecija stated that the investments have helped address digital gaps, improve access to learning resources, strengthen instructional delivery, and widen learning opportunities for students in both urban and geographically challenged communities.
DepEd Central Luzon Regional Director Tolentino Aquino attended the activity and recognized the positive impact of such initiatives on both the division and the wider region.
Meanwhile, Schools Division Superintendent Ronaldo Pozon conveyed appreciation for the continued support of the provincial government to the education sector in Nueva Ecija.
He also noted that these efforts have contributed to advancing quality, accessible, and inclusive education in the province.
The additional paint assistance is expected to help schools further improve their facilities even as classes commenced on June 8, Monday, for the new academic year.
This initiative forms part of the partnership between the provincial government and DepEd, in line with the education priorities of the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in strengthening safe and conducive learning environments for students and teachers. (CLJD/MAECR, PIA Region 3-Nueva Ecija)
