ORANI, Bataan — The municipal government of Orani formed Friday a disinfection team as the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) was extended in Bataan until May 15.
Mayor Efren Dominic Pascual Jr. said the initiative is to protect the town and residents from the threats posed by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
“The disinfection team will visit every barangay to conduct disinfection procedures of public places and facilities to prevent and mitigate the risk brought by COVID-19,” Pascual said.
The team will conduct the activity every Monday, Wednesday and Friday starting 5pm to all 28 barangays in the town.
Pascual assured that members of the team will be equipped with the complete set of personal protective equipment during the activity.
“They are also given vitamins as supplemental to their health and to boost their immune system against disease,” he added.
Each member of the team was already oriented on the procedure and advised to also protect themselves as they carry out their duty.
“As the ECQ was extended, the municipal government will also extend measures and procedures to safeguard constituent,” the local chief executive furthered.
