P300K reward offered for capture of Korean escapee

Pampanga Governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda has offered a P300,000 reward for the capture of Korean escapee Park Wang Yeol, according to Provincial Administrator Atty. Charlie Chua.

Park has been detained at Pampanga Provincial Jail (PPJ) since 2016 for three murder cases in Bacolor town. He escaped from Tarlac City last Wednesday after his arraignment at the Regional Trial Court Branch 64 in Tarlac.

The court committed him to the PPJ for a case of illegal possession of firearms in Tarlac. Park, and other 5 PPJ guards went to an eatery in Barangay San Rafael, Tarlac when the prisoner went straight to the comfort room and fled using the ventilation window, police report stated.

According to the Governor, he ordered the filing of a case against the guards for infidelity in the custody of the prisoner.

The prison guards are identified as Randy Sibug, Clarito Mendoza, Danigen Aragon, Danilo Gonzales, and Carlo Layag. -(With reports from Jess Malabanan)
