PAGCOR gives P190.5 M to Pampanga Gov’t

ERMITA, Manila – The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) turned over P190.5-million to the Provincial Government of Pampanga intended for the construction of the provincial hospital annex in Clark and purchase of dialysis and CT scan machines in the province.

Specifically, former President Rodrigo Duterte instructed PAGCOR to allot P100-million for the completion of Pampanga Provincial Hospital–Clark Annex while the remaining P90.5 million will be used for the procurement of 40 units of dialysis machines and one (1) unit of CT scan machine.

On behalf of Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, Provincial Administrator Atty. Charlie Chua recently received the check during a simple ceremony held at PAGCOR in Ermita, Manila.

PAGCOR Chairman Andrea Domingo said the provision of financial grants is part of their corporate social responsibility to help fund the medical projects and programs of the LGUs.

Chua shared that Governor Delta assured that the hospital will be beneficial not only to more than 100,000 employees working inside the freeport zone, but also to patients from nearby provinces.

“Yung dialysis machines at CT scan naman ay gagamitin sa dalawang dialysis centers na bubuksan sa Districts 2 at 4 ng Pampanga,” he added.

The provincial government also expressed its gratitude for PAGCOR’s generosity and timely support to the province under the previous administration.

Pampanga is one of the eight (8) local government units (LGUs) in the country which benefited from the financial grants given by the gaming corporation.
