Pakistani national robbed, shot in Subic

A Pakistani national on Wednesday  was injured after he was robbed of P1.8 million cash at El Kabayo Road, Binictican, Subic Bay, Freeport Zone (SBFZ).

The Olongapo police identified the victim as  Khafeel Muhammad, 60, a Pakistani national and resident of 26D Kumpang St., Binictican, SBFZ.

The victim told police he was going home from Nile Nigata Yard, Boton Area, SBFZ on a black Toyota Fortuner with Plate No. CAM 6381 when he was blocked by four men on two motorcycles on El Kabayo Road, Binictican.

One of the suspects approached him, pointed a gun at him and demanded to give him the money.

When the victim resisted, the  suspect shot him in the shoulder and abdomen, took his money amounting to P1.8 million under the seat of the vehicle, and sped off.

The injured victim called his Pakistani friends, who sought assistance from personnel of the SBMA Law Enforcement Department, and rushed Muhammad to the Baypointe Hospital at SBFZ.

Internal Investigation Office prober Alex Canlas found empty shells of unknown caliber on  the road, on the vehicle’s  passenger seat and floor of the driver’s side.

The police are now trying to identify the suspects.
