Pampanga Capitol kicks off 454th Aldo ning Kapampangan

City of San Fernando, Pampanga — The Provincial Government of Pampanga officially opened the 454th Aldo Ning Kapampangan on Monday with a Thanksgiving Mass held at the Pampanga Provincial Capitol, marking the start of a week-long celebration honoring Kapampangan heritage, culture, and unity.

The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Archbishop Florentino Lavarias, together with priests from the Archdiocese of San Fernando. In his homily, the Archbishop reflected on Pampanga’s continued progress through the years and encouraged public servants and citizens to remain steadfast in service, compassion, and values inspired by Christ.

Present during the launching were Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, department heads, and Capitol employees. The Mass was followed by a flag-raising and official kick-off ceremony attended by city and municipal mayors, as well as barangay officials from across the province.

Christmas Pavilions and Food Bazaar Open at Arnedo Park

The celebration then moved to Arnedo Park with the opening of the Christmas Pavilions and Food Bazaar, among the major highlights of this year’s festivities. Participating local government units (LGUs) across Pampanga showcased creative and culturally inspired pavilions.

Assistance and Recognition for Community Sectors

In line with its inclusive governance agenda, the Provincial Government extended assistance and recognition to various sectors of society as part of the kick-off activities. These included medical assistance, incentives for senior citizens, educational support for scholars and Aeta youth, and recognition for board passers for their academic achievements.

Capitol Employees Hour: Singing and Zumba Competitions

More than 4,000 Capitol employees participated in the Capitol Employees Hour, which featured singing and Zumba competitions focused on wellness, camaraderie, and morale-building. The activity also included raffle draws and prizes for participating employees.

Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda said the activities were designed to recognize the dedication and hard work of government employees, foster unity among offices, and further strengthen their commitment to public service.

The Aldo Ning Kapampangan celebration continues throughout the week with various cultural, heritage, and community-centered activities that highlight Kapampangan pride, resilience, and unity.
