PDEA seizes P2.5M worth of illegal drugs in Pampanga drug bust

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga— A High Value Target person of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) was arrested earlier this morning, April 15 during the implementation of search warrant by joint operatives of PDEA and Magalang police in Brgy. San Vicente, Magalang, Pampanga.


About 4 o’clock, Sunday morning, joint operatives of PDEA3 and Magalang police armed with Search Warrant No. 5579(18) issued by Hon. Judge Cecilyn E. Burgos-Villavert of Regional Trial Court Branch 89, Quezon City proceeded at Bliss 1, Brgy. San Vicente, Magalang, Pampanga which resulted to the arrest of Akil IMAM, 29 y/o, married, native of Marawi City, Mindanao and resident of Bliss 1, Brgy San Vicente, Magalang, Pampanga and seizure of the following: thirty one medium size plastic sachets containing suspected shabu; three large size plastic sachets containing suspected shabu; electronic weighing scale; two caliber 45 pistols; two magazines; seven live cal 45 ammos; two pouch bags; one small tool box; one lighter; one pair of scissors; mini money counting machine and bundle of unused plastic sachets.

According to PDEA, seized suspected shabu weighs about 500 grams with street value of two million five hundred thousand pesos (Php.2,500,000.00).

The arrested suspect and the seized pieces of evidence are now in the custody PDEA RO3 for proper disposition.

“This is another feather in the cap for both the PNP and the PDEA. Our joint efforts to combat drugs and put these absconders behind jail continue to pay off. We will not stop and we will win our waging war uphand,” PRO3 Regional Director, Police Chief Supt. Amador Corpus said.
