Police Regional Office 3 asks Bataeños to support priority programs

MARIVELES, Bataan — Police Regional Office 3 is urging Bataeños to support its priority programs committed to deliver outstanding service to the community.

During the launching of the Joint Industrial Peace Concerns Office (JIPCO) held Tuesday at the Freeport Area of Bataan, Police Regional Director PBGen. Rhodel Sermonia pitched programs targeted for the different sectors of the community.

Among the programs he discussed is the Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) that aims to protect students and the youth from the ill-effects of illegal drugs and terrorism.

“KKDAT is launched because the youth sector is vulnerable to the deceptive propaganda of the different legal front organizations of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army,” Sermonia said.

He stressed that Bataan should never again be infiltrated by terrorist groups and communist activities such as recruitment of students as combatants should be prevented.

Moreover, Sermonia also presented the Global Peace Community Relations program intended to protect the welfare of the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

“The program started as a Global Police Community Relations but now, since we’re already in partnership with the different agencies of our government, we are promoting the morale and welfare of our OFWs including their loved ones who are left behind in the country,” the Central Luzon’s top cop said.

Also, Sermonia asked Bataeños to support other programs of the police namely JIPCO, Kaligtasan at Kalikasan or KALIGKASAN, Expanded Caravan and Rektang Konek Aksyon Agad.
