CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Chiefs of Police and Liga ng mga Barangay Presidents in Central Luzon attended this week a two-day Contact Tracing seminar organized by Police Regional Office 3 (PRO 3).
The activity was meant to cascade the strategy imparted by National Task Force Against COVID-19 Tracing czar and Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong who earlier trained the contact tracing teams of the region composed of health workers and police.
During the seminar, Interior and Local Government Undersecretary Martin Diño highlighted the crucial role of the barangays in the nation’s fight against the disease thru the deployment of Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams to strengthen the country’s contact tracing capability.
In a statement, Police Regional Director PBGen. Rhodel Sermonia said PRO 3 is doing its best to give aid to local officials and health officers in implementing other effective and efficient response to the pandemic thru contact tracing.
“We will keep on conducting seminars and other initiatives geared to equip our men and women to be more proficient frontliners as we vow to continue in helping contain the spread of COVID-19,” Sermonia added.
