PRMFB3 distributes early Christmas gifts to 300 ‘Dumagats’ in Bulacan

Over three hundred indigenous people known as “Dumagats” living within the Angat Dam Watershed in Bulacan received early Christmas presents through Duterte Legacy Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery held in Sitio Dikes, Barangay San Lorenzo in Norzagaray and Sitio Iyak, Barangay Kabayunan in Dona Remedios Trinidad in Bulacan.

The caravan’s Christmas gifts distribution was through the initiative of Police Regional Office 3 – Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 (RMFB3) under Force Commander PCol. Fitz Macariola in collaboration with the Philippine National Police (PNP)s Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) and  National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC.

Aside of gift giving, a feeding activity was also held where the beneficiaries were given a cup of porridge (lugaw). The early Christmas gifts distribution is under RMFB3 Barangayanihan’s “Help and Bank” theme sponsored by private business sectors and local government units (LGUs) in Central Luzon. 

According to Macariola, the Dumagat tribe beneficiaries with  230 indigenous families in Sitio Dikes were among the recipients of distributed used clothes, pairs of slippers, toys and school supplies and relief goods including rice, noodles and can goods while same Christmas gifts were also distributed to 70 families in Sito Iyak plus six solar lamp posts.

“Ito po ay programa ng pamahalaan katuwang ang kapulisan para ihatid ang mga tulong at proyekto ng gobyerno para sa mga kababayang katulad ninyo na nasa mga liblib na lugar,” Macariola said.

NTF-ELCAC Ambassador Franz Liam Arabia and spokesperson of KKDAT National said the program  aimed at trumpeting the President Rodrigo Roa Duterte administration’s accomplishments that provide better services to the Filipino people.
