Collaborating with international organizations to protect the rights and promote the welfare of overseas Filipino workers is an important responsibility of Philippine diplomatic missions abroad. A few hours ago, the Philippine Embassy in Baghdad met with Barbara Rijks of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Erbil to discuss how the Kurdistan Regional Government could further be supported in its efforts to prevent the exploitation and abuse of Filipinos and other migrant workers.
