Quest Hotel and Mimosa Golf Course launches project 1% for the benefit of Malasa Elementary School students

CLARK FREEPORT ZONE – Last May 26, 2018, Quest Hotel Conference Center, Clark (QHCP) and Mimosa Golf Course (MGC) employees visited Malasa Elementary School to officially handover their school supplies donations.

Quest Hotel and Conference Center, Clark and Mimosa Golf Course employees officially turnover their donations to the faculty and students of Malasa Elementary School.

Dubbed as Project 1%, QHCP and MGC’s General Manager, Mr. Patrick Beck, together with the Human Resources Department have come up with the idea of donating 1% of their monthly service charge so it can be used to purchase school supplies such as bags, notebooks, pencils and arm chairs for which shall be enjoyed by about 100 elementary students of the said school.
“The whole team is really blessed right now as there are a lot of businesses coming in. We want to share those blessing to others that is why we came up with this project. My team here has a generous heart so without any hesitations, everybody gave their share.” shared Mr. Patrick.

The project run for one month and the HR Team was able to accumulate a total of PHP 48,254. The said amount went beyond the target to be collected so the HR Team added something extra and bought the kids some treats at Jollibee. Moreover, the country’s leading fast food chain also provided their lovable mascot who performed a special dance number. Sponsors such as La Rose Noire, JLS Printing Solutions, Clark Freeport Trading, Clark Development Corporation, Philippine Spring Water Resources Inc., The Medical City Clark, Faris Jester Merchandise, Jhutay Fishing Trading, SBL Trading and Uhop also extended their support to this fulfilling event.

Aside from the supplies and snacks, the employees also added some smiles to the angelic faces of these kids from the indigenous group of Aeta by hosting fun games and activities.

These children returned the favor by performing a tribal dance and later on joined by the company’s Executive Committee.

The event ended leaving everyone not just with happy memories but as well as a happy heart.
