Ronquillo’s mayoralty bid backed by former mayors

Sto. Tomas mayoralty bet Vice Mayor Gloria “Ninang” Ronquillo said she decided to run against re-electionist Mayor John Sambo after a series of consultations with several groups.

She said her decision to run for mayoralty race was backed by former local chief executives in this town, who they forged an alliance with against the incumbent mayor.

“Ikit da siguru ing kakulangan ning serbisyo keng balen kaya mipag alyansa kami reng dating Mayors Lito Naguit, Lucas Arceo at Ninong Ronquillo kaya inendorsu da ku tagal bilang Mayor keni,” Ronquillo stressed.

She and runningmate vice mayoralty aspirant Jhong Naguit on Wednesday filed their certificates of candidacy at their town’s Commission on Elections office.

Flocked by supporters, the whole slate of the ‘Team Serbisyong Totoo and Serbisyong Higit’ filed their CoCs accompanied by former Mayors Naguit and Arceo.

Vice mayoralty aspirant Jhong Naguit, brother of former Mayor Lito Naguit, vowed that once given a seat, he will support Ronquillo’s political plan thru legislation.

Running under Ninang-Jhong tandem are councilorables Mark Louie Arceo; Angel David; Danilo Aniciete; Engelbert Euperio; Fidel Calma; Meriam Garcia; Josefina Pangilinan; and Melanio Nuqui.

The Ronquillo-Naguit tandem will focus on scholarship, infrastructure, youth and women empowerment.
